AHMEDABAD, India — Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar completed 18,000 runs in limited-overs internationals on Thursday during his innings against Australia in the World Cup quarterfinal.
Tendulkar, who has scored the most runs and centuries in both test and one-day cricket, pushed a delivery from pace bowler Brett Lee through covers to get to the mark as he moved from 44 to 45.
The 37-year-old Tendulkar had a reprieve on 47, his skied edge off Brett Lee falling inches in front of Jason Krezja at third man.
He pulled Shaun Tait for two in his next over to bring up his 94th ODI 50.
